This is what
pushes the fuel from the gas tank to the engine. It will create a high pressure on the fuel lines, which is what your fuel
injectors need to operate.
This high pressure can remain on the fuel lines even when you turn off your vehicle. When replacing this fuel pump make sure to release the fuel pressure before removing the fuel pump or other fuel components.
On later model vehicles these are located in the gas tank. Some older vehicles have these under the vehicle or as a non-electric version that is mounted to the engine.
The fuel will go through a regulator and then to the injectors. The fuel injectors are controlled by a computer and can control exactly how much fuel to use.
These fuel pumps do quite a bit of work and can end up failing. If that time has come at least you are at the right place. We here at Clickonautoparts.com are setup to furnish high quality low cost replacement parts quickly. We will drop ship directly to your doorstep from one of our many warehouses.
