Engine Cooling Fans

Engine Cooling Fan These fans will either sit behind the radiator to pull air across it or will sit in front to push the air. Both methods are ultimately designed to cool the water in the radiator that is used to cool your engine.

Some of these fans are electric and are turned on by a relay and a coolant temperature sensor when the water in your engine gets to about 212 or 220 degrees. Some are attached to the water pump and will spin all the time while the motor is running. In this setup they are turned by the fan belt.

With the electric fan motors, the speed of the motor is controlled in order to help cool down or allow for a rapid warm up of your engine. The belt-driven fans sometimes use temperature sensitive couplings to slow down or speed up the fan.

There might come a day when your cooling fan fails and needs to be replaced. At Clickonautoparts.com we specialize in auto parts and can make sure you get the quality parts you deserve at low prices. We can drop ship these from many of our warehouses and will have one sent from a warehouse near you.
