The door lock motor is located inside the door panel and inside the cavity of the door. You will have either an electronic
button or manual switch to push on the door. This is designed to lock and unlock the door. If your vehicle is equipped with
a keyless entry system it will also tie into this door lock motor so that you can lock and unlock your door wirelessly using
your key fob.
Sometimes door lock motors malfunction and you have to replace them. There is no way to lubricate this motor so when it does malfunction it needs to be replaced.
