Alternators

Alternators This is used to charge the vehicles battery and run the electrical system (lights, radio, and accessories) while the engine is running. This is belt driven so while your engine is running the crankshaft will be turning several components and the alternator is one of them. The alternator will spin about 2 or 3 times as fast as the crankshaft.

If your alternator is working properly, your battery should remain charged, provided your battery is in good shape. If you go to start your car and you hear it just slightly crank but doesn’t really have enough power to turn the engine over, your battery could be run down. At this point if you use another car or truck and jump start your vehicle; it very well could be that your alternator is not working. The alternator and battery should both be checked at this point.

Modern automotive alternators have a voltage regulator built into them that will keep a constant voltage level coming out of the alternator.

If you determine that your alternator is not producing the voltage and current needed to keep you battery fully charged, you need to replace it. For a high quality, low cost replacement, you’ve come to the right place. Here at Clickonautoparts.com we’ve got the alternator you need and many other parts to go with it. When you purchase from us we will make sure your part gets delivered as quick as possible and directly from one of many warehouses we stock our parts at.
