AC Condensers

AC Condensor This sits in front of your radiator, it looks like a little mini radiator, and either an electronic fan or a belt driven fan pulls air through it. This provides basically the same type of function as the radiator for your engine.

The condenser is used to change the high-pressure refrigerant vapor into a liquid. This happens because of that high pressure. In doing this it creates a lot of heat, which in turn is removed by the air flowing through this condenser. The condenser has refrigerant in it and is part of your complete AC system.

The condenser cools this refrigerant (also known as Freon) in this AC system. It keeps the AC cool by keeping the air blowing across the front of it.

It’s very important to keep this rinsed out. It can contain bugs, debris, or dirt that will prevent the air from moving across the fins. Wash it out with a garden hose; if you try to wash it with a pressure washer it could damage these fins.

In some cases, the condenser should also be flushed out to remove any of the old contaminated refrigerant, oil, and debris. Some of the newer condensers are made in such a way that the tubes are so small the debris will get caught in these tube openings and you won’t be able to flush it out. They have been designed this way to help in the efficiency of these condensers. These that can’t be flushed out will need to be replaced.

If you determine that the condenser needs to be replaced, us here at Clickonautoparts.com will be happy to help make sure you get the correct condenser for your vehicle. Our business is auto parts and we are good at it. We believe after you shop with us, we will then become your one stop shop for quality low cost auto parts.
